How long your eyebrow waxing appointment takes depends on your brows' shape, texture, and condition. In general, a standard brow waxing procedure can take anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour. This includes the initial consultation, the brow waxing process, and some possible light tweezing afterwards. In case you're looking to get additional services such as eyebrow tinting, you may need to allow for another extra hour or so.
Technically, waxing is suitable for all skin types. However, if you're using topical medications such as retinoids or acne medicine like Accutane or Differin, then please avoid waxing for now. These medicines tend to weaken the skin, so getting a waxing procedure is not recommended. Those who have other skin issues such as dermatitis or sunburnt skin are also advised to avoid waxing treatments.
Your eyebrows have to be at least one and a half to one-fourth inches long to get them properly waxed. You can also measure your brow growth by waiting anywhere between four to twelve weeks after your last treatment. To ensure your brows are always in shape, keep in mind to let them regrow and only pluck or tweeze stray hairs with the approval of your brow technician.
