Handyman Required – Install 2 Door Seals & Repair Bathroom Door Looking for an experienced handyman to complete two jobs at my home. All materials have already been purchased and will be supplied. Please quote for labour and bring your own tools. Job 1 – Install 2 Automatic Door Bottom Seals * Install one automatic drop-down seal on my front timber entry door and one on my backyard timber entry door. * Both are standard-sized hinged timber doors that open inwards. Each has a separate security door that opens outwards. * The purpose is to seal gaps underneath the timber doors and prevent earwigs and other crawling insects entering the house. * Measure and neatly trim the seals to fit if required. * Check the mounting position and clearance between the timber and security doors before installation. There is more than 2cm clearance between the closed doors. * Ensure the seals automatically lower against the threshold when closed and lift when opened, without scraping or interfering with either door. * Check that no gaps remain at the bottom corners and be mindful of the cable near the backyard doorway. * Both timber and security doors currently close and lock correctly. They must continue to operate normally after installation. Job 2 – Repair Bathroom Door * The bathroom door will not close completely, even when the handle is held down, and cannot latch or lock properly. * Inspect the hinges, hinge screws, screw holes, door alignment, frame, latch and strike plate to determine the cause. * Carry out necessary adjustments or repairs, including realigning the door, securing hinges or repairing stripped screw holes if required. * Replace any damaged components only if necessary. * Ensure the bathroom door closes smoothly and the handle, latch and privacy lock function correctly. * Avoid unnecessary cutting or planing of the door.
