I have recently bought merbau laminated wood that requires treated. I wasn’t aware this was the case so the outer frame has been built (see attached) and the rest of the wood is undercover pending treatment. I just require it treated so it lasts. I would like to try keep existing colour but if it needs stained and this slightly changes then no big deal. Not sure if it needs sanded and then treated, but looking for advice from qualified painter. Please quote including material supplies Cheers

We require the removal of a pergola, which takes up a big portion of our garden. The pergola is on a concrete base which also need to be removed, and replaced with new soil and turf (buffalo grass). In addition, as the pergola is being removed, we will require some concrete steps (maybe 3 which will be 3 metres in length) (approx) to allow access from the lounge to the garden. Steps must match current style, and area made good. Budget for placeholder only - open to receiving offers of course.

We plan to get a large pergola, (well, in fact, three connected pergola areas), in our backyard. The structure would need to be attached to the house, either through a flyover system or by attaching to the fascia. It is a flat skillion roof sloping upwards (away from the house) so gutters and drainage are an issue. We have found a carpenter, but they require drawings showing exactly how this would work, ( in terms of the existing roof/rafters/beams etc.) to work from. I need an architect/draft person/builder who can do this so the carpenter knows exactly what to do. There are a couple of ways it could be achieved and need someone to look at the house to work out the best way to complete this. I have included a few pictures. The last is of the existing backyard. Three are computer generated concept drawings giving a rough indication of what it would look like (we have made some changes since then, but it gives you an approximate idea). The first is a hand drawn plan showing dimensions. I do have full house plans, and plans suitable for the council(deed to comply) available. BTW , as you can see from the photo of the home as it is, the existing goal in the center would be removed as part of the project. Someone with a builder’s license, I.e. A registered builder,prepared to submit for council building approval, would be ideal.

The pergola is overgrown with ivy. On one side there is a 153 m wall and bricked structures holding soil from which the ivy grows. There is a colorbond projection/roof from the house which is supported by 2 wooden posts covering entrance to the house. This is to remain in place. The other 2 wooden posts that support the pergola are to be removed along with all the ivy and the pergola itself. The posts are secured with metal brackets installed in the brick paving, and also need to be removed and made good with bricks (we have enough). Any ivy on top of the colorbond roofing, on either sides of the wall and in the brick garden beds needs to be removed entirely, including remnants of ivy attached to the wall. All rubbish to be removed. Some of the stems are very thick and may require a power saw.

We are wanting a complete back garden overhaul and not quite sure where to start. I’ve had some concept drawings done, but now I need to find someone to build it. It involves pulling down an existing pergola and patio and installing new decking as well as paving as well as a pergola, (and we want a fireplace and an outdoor kitchen). Wanting a builder/carpenter/landscaper to help create this. I have included a few photos of the concept drawings as well as a photo of the existing garden (last one). I i’m aware the total budget is going to be a lot more than the amount I’ve put, but I just put that in as a rough indication of what some of the individual tasks may cost in case I do them as separate projects.

2.5mm galv chainlink mesh to be supplied and fixed on existing frame. Images attached for reference. The “roof” bays are all approx. 1.9 x 4.2 (4 of them) The sides are, all up, 0.8 x 14.0 approx. Mesh needs to be wire-fixed to all horizontal and vertical post members (1.6m high existing + 0.8 new = 2.4m high overall).

This wooden slat pergola is 3.7 x 4.8 m and thickly covered with ivy. Moving the half barrel flower box might allow it to be used over. There is driveway access and space on the verge for a skip. A machine could be used with care for the reticulation. Rats might be nesting in the ivy!
