The job is in the backyard, covering an area of approximately 5 m². As shown in the photos, part of the area has already been dug up. The soil needs to be removed to a depth of at least 30 cm to reach the natural soil layer underneath the sand, compacted gravel and clay. The area should be dug right up to the existing pavers, without disturbing or damaging the pavers on the edges. Please refer to the photos showing the border and an example of how to dig close to the pavers. All the excavated material needs to be removed from the site. Some soil has already been bagged in plastic bags, which will also need to be taken away. Access: - There is side access to the backyard (shown in the photo with the bagged soil). This access is narrow and does not fit a wheelbarrow. - There is also a roller door at the rear, leading to a narrow, angular laneway. It’s not ideal but can be used if needed, although bringing a car through would be difficult. The removed soil will need to be replaced with organic soil. I’m happy to consider two separate quotes: 1. For digging and soil removal only 2. For supplying and spreading the organic soil (The cost of the soil itself will be in addition to the quoted labour.)

I am doing landscaping at my home in South Yarra and having my house painted. I need soil moved away from the base of the fence line (25m) and also from one side of the house (15m) before the painting can begin. The soil in both of these areas is not very deep. I also am relocating the treated-pine walls of a couple of garden beds and need the timber moved and the soil in that area also moved.
