Hi, I’m buying a used car and would like a qualified mechanic to perform a pre-purchase inspection at the seller’s location. I don’t know much about cars, so I’d like a general mechanical check, any red flags, and your opinion on whether it’s worth buying. The car is a 2017 Suzuki Vitara if that's necessary to know.

I had been away for two months and my car battery went flat while I was away. I’ve had it jump started and it’s fine, but then when I was driving it’s come up saying transmission issue. It’s automatic, but when I’m driving, it won’t change up gears. I’ve never had any issues with my transmission before. I’ve done some research and it says that it can just be when the cars battery goes flat that the codes need resetting and I need a OBD2 tool to clear the stores diagnostics. I need someone to come to my house and fix it if possible.

Issues with the car not starting. When I do jumpstart it, the whole electrical system will just turn off on its own. 2019 Hyundai Kona 2.0L, approx 50,000km since new. Happy to adjust the price, based on the diagnosis of the problem + the time required to actually fix it.
