Hi there! We’re looking for a hunky / strong, reliable house mover with a van or moving truck to help me and my housemate move to our new place on Friday, 6 March 2026. Move details: • From: North Melbourne (near Royal Children’s Hospital) • To: Kensington (apartment near Macaulay Station) • Start time: Around 12:30pm to 1:00pm onwards • Estimated time needed: 1 to 3 hours • Budget: $300 total for both of us What we need help with: • Loading and transporting furniture and boxes • Unloading at the new apartment • Current home: single-storey house • New home: level 4 apartment (lift access available) • You must have your own van or moving truck. I need someone to unpack my hire van and move the contents inside to my 1brm apartment. The van will be on site and i will meet you there at 5pm to unlock the unit. The largest or bulkiest items are a double mattress and a small 1x1m table. The rest is bags and boxes etc. There is no lift at the building and 3 flights of stairs. picture is of the contents before i added the mattress. Some stuff will be going to a storage closet on the ground floor, the rest to my unit upstairs. I have a trolley.

I am moving a 2.7m wide and 1.1m deep couch from a downstairs living room in north Melbourne to Carlton north. While there are technically no stairs, there are three bluestone steps at the pickup address. I am also hoping to move a large fridge (the silver one on the right in the photo) from the same address in north Melbourne to Carlton north but this is dependent on whether it will be cleared out and cleaned by then.
