Hi, I have a Jaguar XF 2013 2.2D diesel with an oil feed line leak (likely turbo oil feed line). Oil is leaking and due to this the ECO mode / start-stop is not engaging. I’m looking for an experienced mechanic who can: • Inspect and confirm the oil feed line leak • Replace/repair the oil feed line (including banjo bolts if required) • Check oil pressure related issues • Top up or change engine oil if needed • Clear any fault codes and test drive after repair Car is currently drivable but repair is urgent to avoid turbo damage. I have a 1971 Jaguar XJ6 Series 1 (6 Cylinder) in a machinery shed on a farm that I have been restoring over 3 years. Previously we had the motor running every 6 months and everything was fine. Then one day the car would not start. It’s turning over but the motor is not firing. We replaced spark plugs, leads, condenser, contact points, rotter button. We have had some car enthusiasts look at the car and eliminated many possibilities of why it wasn’t starting (fuel, electrical) and have come to the conclusion that it’s a coil issue. I’m not 100% convinced and think it might be an electrical issue because we have tested to see if there is a spark coming into the spark plugs and there is no spark. I am seeking a mechanic that has working on old classic cars and also has auto electrical experience to come out to the farm and get the car to turn on so that we can sell it. Farm is 25 mins out of Bendigo.
