About the Role We are seeking a caring, patient, and reliable carer to support our elderly father in Bankstown, NSW. He is in his late 70s and lives with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and severe dementia. He is frail, incontinent, and requires 24-hour care. Our father is gentle, non-combative, and quiet — he mostly sits smiling but needs hands-on support with daily living. He is Lebanese and Muslim, so carers should be respectful of cultural and religious sensitivities. Due to our mother (his primary carer) recently being hospitalised, we are seeking compassionate and dependable support to fill the gaps where government services cannot. Duties Will Include Personal care: cleaning, bathing, dressing, and incontinence support Companionship: sitting with him, engaging gently, keeping him comfortable Medication monitoring: ensuring he takes medicine on time Meal preparation: cooking and feeding well-balanced diabetic-friendly meals that are also culturally and religiously appropriate (Halal) Mobility support: assistance with moving safely around the home What We’re Looking For ✔ Experience with dementia, Parkinson’s, and high-needs elderly care ✔ Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach ✔ Comfortable with personal hygiene, meal prep, and medicine routines ✔ Reliable, trustworthy, and good communicator ✔ Understanding of Muslim dietary/religious practices (preferred but not essential) ✔ Qualified or experienced carers encouraged to apply Hours & Options Flexible Daily Care: Anywhere from 5 to 12 hours per day depending on availability Live-In Carer Option: We are also open to a live-in arrangement with board included for the right person to provide stability and continuity of care Location 📍 Bankstown, NSW Engagement & Pay Direct contract via Airtasker Market-competitive hourly rate (negotiable based on experience and qualifications) Immediate start preferred
