What I need: I'm looking for a reliable and helpful individual to assist with a corporate event at Stone & Chalk, Sydney, on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025. Your main duties will involve setting up the food and drinks table, serving beverages to guests, and assisting with the pack-up after the event. Tasks include: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM: Event Setup for Food & Refreshments Setting up the drinks station (e.g., arranging bottles, glasses, ice buckets). Ensuring the drinks table is neat and visually appealing. Food delivery will arrive - set away the food in the back 5:30 PM - 5:50 PM: Event Service for Refreshments Serving drinks to guests (e.g., serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages). 6:15 PM - 6:45 PM: Event Setup for Food and Drinks Arrangement and presentation of food on platters/serving dishes. Keeping the food and drinks area tidy and replenished as needed. 6:45 PM - 7:30PM: Event Service for Food & Drinks Serving drinks to guests (e.g., serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages). Assisting guests with any requests related to food or beverages. 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Event Pack Up Clearing away empty platters, bottles, and used glasses. Assisting with general tidying of the event space. Bagging up rubbish and preparing items for removal. What's important to me: Punctual and reliable: You must be on time for the 4:30 PM start. Presentable and professional: You'll be interacting with event guests. Proactive and helpful: Ability to anticipate needs and assist without constant direction. Must hold a valid NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate. This is essential for serving alcoholic beverages. Experience in hospitality/events is a bonus but not essential if you are keen and willing to learn. Looking for someone to give our small BBQ (approx. 39cm wide x 20cm deep) a thorough clean. It has some built-up grease and needs attention to the grill plates, drip tray, and inner surfaces. We already have a BBQ spray, scrubber, and cloths available for you to use – just bring some elbow grease and attention to detail!
