Hello, We have an EMERGENCY electrical situation and require an IMMEDIATE call-out from a qualified and licensed A-Grade Electrician to our retail store, in Traralgon. The Issue: This is a potential fire hazard. Upon turning on the air conditioning unit this morning, a strong electrical burning smell filled the store. The staff immediately turned the air conditioner off, but are extremely concerned about a potential fire or smouldering electrical fault within the ceiling cavity or the HVAC unit itself. There is no visible smoke, but the burning smell was very distinct. The Job: The task is to attend the site as an absolute priority to investigate the source of the smell and make the area safe. The scope of work includes: 1. Attending the site immediately. 2. Safely isolating power to the air conditioning unit and any related circuits. 3. Gaining access to the ceiling/roof space to thoroughly inspect the HVAC unit, ducting, and all associated electrical wiring for signs of overheating, short-circuiting, or fire. 4. Using diagnostic tools (e.g., thermal camera, multimeter) to identify the source of the fault. 4. Performing any necessary immediate repairs to make the system safe. 5. Providing a clear and detailed report of your findings and recommendations for any further repairs required. Requirements: - MUST be a fully licensed and insured A-Grade Electrician in Victoria. - You must have your own diagnostic tools, including equipment for safely accessing a commercial roof/ceiling space. - MUST provide a safety certificate or detailed report upon completion.
