Our Smeg fully-integrated dishwasher (model DWAFI6314-2) won't stay closed. The plastic door catch/latch has snapped. It's the mechanical catch, not the electrical switch, and the machine is otherwise working fine. IMPORTANT: You must bring the correct replacement part with you on the day. The part is the Smeg door-lock assembly, part 690074493 (this exact part was fitted to this machine before, so it is confirmed). Your quoted price must INCLUDE the cost of the part, not just labour. Existing dishwasher at second house to be disconnected and taken outside and new dishwasher to be put in place and connected. There is some steps to get into the second house. Hi there, Under my kitchen counter, there is an MDF panel that has to be neatly trimmed back about 2-3cm for my new dishwasher to fit. See picture. If someone is able to come and do this today it would be great. Thanks! Dan

Smeg dishwasher. Water set at the bottom of the dishwasher when it washed the dishes. I cleaned all the filters, drained it and tried again. Second time was the same. I’m not sure if it’s plumbing issue or dishwasher issue.

The bolt on the left-side door of my Miele dishwasher G616 has fallen inside the wall panel, preventing the screw from securely holding the door panel in place. When I open the dishwasher door, the panel obstructs the way, and I have to push it forcefully. The solution is to open the front door panel, locate the bolt, or replace it with a suitable one, then screw the panel back securely. Alternatively, I am open to replacing the front panel with a new one in timber to match the kitchen or in silver or black to match the appliances. You must have experience repairing Miele dishwasher door panels or be a handyman who has previously worked with Miele front door decorator panels. This job is for labor only. Material costs will be paid upon actual repair, but I hope the fix only requires a bolt, without needing a new panel.
