Looking for a licensed cabler to run a single Cat6 ethernet cable from the bedroom near the entry to the kitchen in my single storey home in Tarneit. Distance is approximately 5-6 metres on the ground. Cable will need to run through the roof cavity with wall plates at each end. There was an old NBN connection in Kitchen and new NBN fibre connection was set up in entry Bedroom. I am having trouble with wifi speed now. The purpose is to connect a second router in the kitchen for better wifi signals. Happy to discuss the best route on the day.

I do not have internet connection in my premise due to an Open Circuit detected on the line beyond the MDF (Main Distribution Frame) and outside of the NBN network. I need someone to: 1. Check fibre signal at the MDF 2. Trace my unit’s fibre port 3. Re-terminate or re-patch fibre at the distribution panel 4. Test ONT light levels (LOS/PON status) 5. Restore service If the ONT is faulty, it may be replaced.

We changed to FTTP a year ago. Since then, we have changed service providers multiple times. We have a Deco mesh system, and it seems that this is the issue. When testing the speed, it is fine near the NBN box, but the speeds when relying on the mesh system are very slow in the rest of the house. We think it's not set up correctly, but we're not technically savvy. Assuming might be a quick fix for someone in the know.
