I’m looking to get a quote for diagnosing and repairing an intermittent electrical issue on my 2004 Mazda 3 hatch (2.0L automatic). The problem involves the speedo lights, radio buttons illumination and tail lights cutting out intermittently and the headlights stay on this whole time and brake lights work. It seems more likely to happen if I switch the headlights on and off multiple times. When the issue occurs, lightly tapping the interior fuse box under the dash temporarily restores the lights. I have replaced the fuses that are obvious for the taillights and have done some research that possibly points to cracks in the solder for the tns relay which is not a plug and play replacement in this model and requires re-soldering. However I am far from an auto electrician, and why I am enquiring for help. I will also add that the indicator does not go off automatically when turning left, however, I am aware that this could be a completely different issue. There are no starting issues, and the problem appears isolated to the lighting/illumination circuit intermittently.
