Original Hills Hoist Winder mechnism is broken. Turning it does not lift the internal pole and top section up anymore. The top can be raised easily enough by hand so it's plainly not rusted through or seized, but it doesn't stay up, so the internal mechanism is busted somehow. Has been repaired in a similar way years ago so I know it's doable - I just don't have the time or handy-man-ness to do it these days. Prefer not to replace the whole thing, just fix it.

Our Smeg dishwasher has stopped working. It won’t start a cycle and it is not draining properly. I’ve done a reset and drained the water but still can’t get it working. Looking for someone to come over and fix asap.
