I am looking for an experienced TV antenna technician to diagnose and repair a Channel 9 reception issue at my home. Symptoms: Channel 9 and all associated channels (91, 92, etc.) intermittently pixelate, disappear, and reappear. Channel 7, Channel 10 and ABC have strong signal strength and quality. SBS is present but appears weaker than other channels but still ok. Problem occurs on multiple TVs and tuners throughout the house. New wall plate and fly lead have already been installed at the main TV and did not resolve the issue. NEW Antenna was installed in February 2022. I have evidence that Channel 9 was already pixelating as far back as August 2023. I have done some Signal Testing: Channel 7 (178 MHz): 51 dBµV and 26.8 MER. **Channel 9 (192 MHz): 36 dBµV and 0 MER Channel 10 (220MHz) : 52 dBuV and 25.3 MER ABC (227MHz) : 54 dBuV and 28 MER **SBS (185MHz): 40 dBuV and 23.7 MER **Signal appears to dip significantly around the 185–192 MHz frequency range. I am looking for someone to: Inspect the antenna feed point / balun assembly on the roof. Inspect the coax cable from the antenna to the roof splitter. Inspect and test the roof splitter and F-connector terminations. Identify the cause of the frequency-specific signal loss. Repair fault. Please note: I am seeking diagnosis and repair of the fault. I am not looking to replace the antenna unless testing confirms it is necessary as it is only 4 years old. I would suggest someone with antenna experience is needed to sort this out.
