Looking for a local bookkeeper – in-person support, ongoing 3h this time Hi there, I’m a sole trader looking for a local bookkeeper who understands Xero and is available to work with me in person, not remotely. I opened my Xero account in July and, as this is my first year, I’ve fallen behind by a few months. I’ve been feeling quite overwhelmed and a bit stuck, and I’d really like support to help me move forward and get everything properly up to date. What I’m looking for is someone who can physically come and sit with me for a few hours, side by side, and work through everything together. For this initial catch-up, I’d like to book around three hours, and then book any additional hours needed until everything is fully up to date. Once things are in order, I’d love to move to an ongoing arrangement of around two hours per month, just to review everything and make sure I stay on track. Ideally, we would: • Go through my bank transactions together • Match and allocate invoices correctly • Identify what’s missing • Allow me to find invoices on the spot (emails, phone, etc.) and upload them immediately • Allocate everything together so I can see how it’s done and learn along the way I work best this way. I get quite overwhelmed with remote work or long follow-up emails listing what’s missing. Sitting together and doing it in real time really helps me stay focused and calm. I’d also love: • Guidance around registering for GST, as I’ll likely need to do this soon • General advice suitable for a sole trader • Recommendations for an accountant if more complex matters come up Being local is really important, as I’d love this to be an ongoing and flexible arrangement moving forward.
