Top Wardrobe Assembly related questions
Hiring someone skilled to build a wardrobe for you can save you a lot of time and energy. While it’s achievable to complete the process on your own, it can be challenging and might cost you multiple lacklustre attempts.Â
Worse, you might not be satisfied with how it ends up, especially if you’re in a rush. Getting a Tasker to be on top of this can give you peace of mind (like not worrying about having a stuck drawer slide).
In Australia, getting a standard wardrobe assembled (which approximately takes 1 to 2 hours) typically costs $110, while a sliding door wardrobe (which takes 3 to 4 hours) can start at $190. In general, the price of a furniture assembly service involves factors like size, type, complexity, location, and accessibility.
For IKEA wardrobe assembly, the cost starts from $100 to $230.Â
Looking for a renowned furniture provider? Argos is your go-to. Meanwhile, if visually appealing wooden armoires are your priority, consider Oak Furnitureland’s hardwood roster. Of course, IKEA is one of the most popular furniture brands, too, known for their products’ functionality and affordability. Try making an IKEA assembly request for the IKEA PAX, IKEA BRIMNES, or IKEA VISTHUS–they're great for almost any household and are some of the easiest to assemble.
Not necessarily. Most new dressers already include the vital pieces and hardware. So, you’ll just most likely need a few specialised hand tools like a screwdriver, a hammer, a drill, or an adjustable wrench, which are expected to be carried by your Tasker.Â
But when it comes to more complex work, it’s best to coordinate with your Tasker on any specific tools needed so they’re aware before arriving at your place.
The assembly time depends on the structure of your product. Since it comprises multiple columns—usually with six drawers—the process may take long hours to complete. Three hours can be ideal for a small dresser, while larger products may demand at least one half of the day. Take note, however, that this estimate doesn’t include the time spent on parts and hardware check plus the final inspection.
Yes. Booking a furniture delivery service can help you avoid the inconvenience of unexpected delivery delays due to your store’s high volume of orders. With Airtasker, you may buy your ready assembled dresser today, and also have it delivered to your house the same day. Taskers can bring them over with a van, truck, ute, as they follow strict safety measures during transport.

What do wardrobe assembly services include?
A hired Tasker for wardrobe assembly service is expected to unpack your new wardrobe’s parts, lay out every piece, and put them together based on the assembly guide. Apart from that, they also take a serious look into its final form, ensuring that all components are secure and in the right place.
If you find it difficult to integrate it into your space, trust your Tasker to also help move your furniture around until you feel at ease with the perfect spot. It’s a double win for folks who like staying organised.
Here are specific examples you can explore:
Free-standing wardrobe assembly
Most services include free-standing wardrobes in the form of flatpacks. These involve the construction of armoires, stand-alone closets, and wardrobes with dresser combinations.
You can spot several wardrobe variations in the market, differing only in its type of door assembly—sliding, hinged, or mirrored.
Open wardrobe assemblyÂ
Are you always in a rush and do you cultivate a small space? This type of wardrobe can be the most ideal for you—it allows you to get clothes in a snap. Plus, it comes in varying styles, giving you the liberty of customisation on what clothing or apparel can be stocked in it for easy access.
Fitted wardrobe assembly
So, you decided to enter the more challenging stage. A fitted wardrobe is undoubtedly one of the most difficult installation services out there, as this is all about the precision of measurement and heavily accurate work. Good thing your Tasker can save you from the mental burden of making this process a success.Â
A well-crafted fitted wardrobe lets you maximise your available space for optimal storage capacity, blending effortlessly in your room.
Hallway wardrobe assembly
Are you more of a coat, hat, or shoe collector? This wardrobe can be your best bet if you want extra storage for those style pieces, so they don’t just lie around your bedroom floor. Possibly much slimmer or broader than the regular closet, this wardrobe not only is an efficient addition to hallways, but also walk-in closets. Tip: Pair it with sliding doors.
Drawer dresser assembly
What’s a prettier finishing touch to your personal lair than assembled dressers? Taskers skilled in this area can even put together a complete dressing table assembly complete with mirrors. Checking of hardware parts and dresser pieces, plus a final inspection are part of the process, aside from the assembly itself. Do note, though, that there’s no one-fits-all assembly process, so expect your booked professional to get the work done based on your dresser’s assembly instructions.Â
It involves fastening and fitting of all pieces together using bolts, screws, washers, and steel bands provided in the kits. If the furniture comes without pre-drilled holes, your Tasker can also take care of it for you.
Airtasker can also help you search for IKEA assembly experts who are knowledgeable about particular dresser models such as IKEA Brusali, IKEA Malm, and IKEA Tyssedal, among others.
