Setup: A horizontal rod or beam needs to be fixed between the two alfresco pillars, and the swing will hang from this rod. The rod spans the full width between the two pillars with the swing suspended from it. What’s needed: • Measure the span between the two pillars • Source or confirm suitable heavy-duty hardware to fix the rod securely at both ends into the pillars • Ensure the rod and mounting points are strong enough to safely bear the combined weight of a 2.5 seater adult swing • Hang and adjust the swing from the rod at the correct height Please note: • Swing is already purchased — happy to share photos on request • Pillars are solid alfresco pillars so direct drilling is fine • This is a full-size adult swing so heavy-duty fixings and load-bearing assessment is essential • Tasker must be confident with drilling into solid pillars and selecting correct hardware for a secure, safe installation • Please message for photos before quoting
