Spins and rinses but won't agitate. Keeps tripping.

I've just moved house and plugged the washing machine to the new house tap. When I turn the machine, it runs on and runs but water wont come into the machine. I've checked the tap and the water seems to be flowing fine.

The pipe under the sink that the washing machine drains into was replaced because one side was leaking. Now the other side is popping off when the machine is used. It’s in a position where I cannot see but it feels that the pipe is not fitting snug so pops of. I think a lock is needed or a new pipe. It’s in a spot where you cannot see.
