So you’ve recently made the purchase, but you’re not sure how to install a vented tumble dryer. We know not everyone’s good with tools and machinery. At Airtasker, we got you covered. We understand that appliances can be difficult to install for some people. It’s better to hire a trusted professional to ensure your dryer is properly installed and working. Preparing the installation site
The moment you plan to install a new dryer, it’s important that your installation site is ready. Your Tasker will ensure all the connections and, depending on the type of dryer, the proper exhausts or vents should be ready and safe to use. Should there be any issues with vents, exhausts or electrical systems before your installation, you may need to get a handyman to have these checked.
Preparing your new dryer
Dryer installation technicians could also help you unbox your dryer if needed and check if there are any defects or damages if you’re not familiar. They can also help you check if everything supposed to be in the box is all accounted for. If you have an existing dryer, you could also ask them to disconnect and tear it out for you if they can. Then they’re going to have it ready to complete your condenser or vented tumble dryer installation.
Connecting your appliance
Not sure how to install a tumble dryer yourself? Don’t fret, since a Taske can take care of it for you. They take charge of connecting your appliance to the electrical socket. Hi! We have just moved in and have a washer and dryer that needs installing. It’s a tricky old school laundry with power outlets that aren’t placed close to the machines, so I need help running an extension cord and also plumbing the washer and dryer (dryer dumps water so needs to be directed to sink as well). The sink unit will need a hole drilled to run the pipe through, and the pipe has been sealed where it needs to be connected to the water. We have a dryer and dishwasher that both keep showing error codes. We tinker with them, clean them, reset them and they seem fixed but then the error comes back a few weeks later. We had a Fisher & Paykel guy fix the dryer a month ago and he cleaned the filters. But the same issue has returned. We had a chap look at the dishwasher 2 months ago and there was glass in the parts which he removed, but same issue has returned. Each are 4 years old. Details below: Dishwasher Bosch Serie 6 Super Silence 44db: E09 Dryer Fisher & Paykel DE8060P2 8kg condenser dryer: can’t recall error code but it doesn’t heat up. Just turns with no heat and then stops after 5 mins. Please come prepared with parts. We understand that there is a service charge plus cost of parts. - Due date: Before Friday, 2 June 2023
