I'm looking for someone who can fix this door. The door doesn't close properly, and I'm not sure what's causing the issue. It could be the carpet, the door's alignment, or something else. It's been like this for about three years, and we haven't used it much because of the problem. I've attached photos to show the issue. Older panel-lift garage door struggles to open — the motor strains and the door gets stuck partway up. Door fails the manual balance test (heavy to lift by hand, won’t hold at waist height), so I suspect the torsion spring has lost tension or needs replacing. Rollers and hinges look original and may need replacing too. The opener is an old Tilt-A-Matic TRV-300 chain drive that still works — happy for advice on whether it’s worth replacing while you’re there.
