Required Steps: Chain Cutting: Use a chain breaker tool to shorten the new 120-link chain to 116 links (matching the OEM length). Removal: Break and remove the existing rusted chain. Cleaning: Brief wipe-down of the front and rear sprocket area while the chain is off. Installation: Route the new chain and join ends using the provided rivet-style master link. Riveting: Properly flare the master link pins using a chain riveting tool to manufacturer specifications (ensuring the plate is pressed to the correct depth and pins are not over-flared/cracked). Adjustment: Adjust rear axle for proper chain tension (approx. 20-30mm of slack) and ensure wheel alignment is perfect. Torque: Tighten the rear axle nut to the factory spec of 100 N·m (74 lb-ft). Requirements for Tasker: Must have experience with high-displacement motorcycles. Must bring a professional chain breaker and riveting tool (not a clip-style master link install). Must bring a torque wrench capable of 100 N·m.
