Howdy folks. Looking for someone to sew two dust covers for electronic items. The items in questions are Coolscan 8000 ED and a Pakon 135+ film scanners. The covers will be fairly simple, basically a box with one side open. I can provide the material for the covers, which is polyester with a PVC coating. Slightly thicker than normal fabric. It might require a somewhat specialised sewing machine but with zero experience sewing I'm not sure if that's the case. Dimensions can be provided and/or you can take measurements of the scanners in person if you’d like. Located in Hackett ACT. Covers should look something like the attached photos. I have a 180cm long Persian rug that I want to hang to a wall. I'm exploring how much it would cost to discretely sew a strip of very strong velcro along one of the 180cm edges. Stitching would need to be kinda invisible as possible. If it works well, I'd probably look to do another rug or two. Help complete a back log of curtain orders at a premium sewing workroom in Fyshwick.

I am interested in getting a sewing pattern made, a near exact copy of an existing shirt that I own. In short, I like the shirt, I'd like to be able to make more of them. I would like someone to create a pattern exactly the same as the shirt (only with the sleeves slightly longer), without taking it apart. I require a seamstress or curtain maker to come to a gallery site in Canberra (near old parliament house) on Friday Feb 25th who can provide their own overlocker. We have approximately 30 polyester/spandex sheets (6m long) that need to be sewn together. We estimate this will take 6 hours but will pay $40 per hour for any additional hours and will still pay the minimum of 6 hours if the job is finished sooner. This is a brand new couch - the seam on one side, the right back edge, is open a bit. The maker said, short of completely removing the material and doing it again: "you may try just hand stitching it yourself and at least it closes up the hole? It won't look exactly the same as before but at least this way it will cover up the hole." I can't sew. At all. And this is velvet. Anyone able to help with this small job?
