Hi, I’m looking for a moving service at the end of September (preferably on the 29th but we can discuss depend on your availability). I only need to transport one double mattress from Southbank to another place in Southbank (about 900m, 5 min drive. Whiteman street to Kavanagh Street). Since it’s very close, I plan to move my other belongings myself for now (I don't drive so most likely by walking or using public transport), but I might ask you as well depending on your fee. Could you please let me know: 1. The total estimated cost, and whether it changes if the move is on a weekend. 2. How your fee is calculated. Is it based on the size/number of items, or by the hour? If it’s based on the size, I may ask you to move only the mattress. If it’s an hourly rate, I may add some items along with the mattress. ●There are no stairs at either place, and lift access is available. The lift is also very close to the either room, so it is easy to move items in and out. ●When I bought the mattress from IKEA, it was compressed and I carried it with another person. However, now that it has expanded and become heavier, I’m not sure I’ll be much help with lifting it, but if you have a trolley or something, it should be easier. ●If I ask you to move additional items besides the mattress, I will also help carry them down to the lift so it will be easier for you and we can finish early and smoothly.
