What does a bird sitting service include?
Bird sitting services usually cover feeding, cage cleaning, plus treats and playtime for your feathered friend. This involves a Tasker going to your house on a regular basis (e.g. daily or twice a day) to care for your bird. What makes it better than bringing your pet to a boarding facility is that your bird gets to stay in your own home. Plus, your Tasker will be dedicated to their care during their stay.

Feeding
The Tasker stops by your house and refills your bird’s supply of food and water. To make sure that what’s left in their dish isn’t just hulls, you should have the container emptied, cleaned, and refilled every time your bird sitter visits. Also, it’s best that you set up your pet’s cage in a way that makes it easy for your pet sitter to feed them without provoking your pet or getting injured. Some birds can be quite territorial, so it’s best you plan the logistics carefully.
Cage cleaning
Some Taskers may offer cage cleaning services as well. Your bird sitter swaps out the paper lining their cage and makes sure that your birds don’t put their waste in their food and water bowls. If you are away from home for a week or longer, your Tasker may also need to do a thorough cleaning of the cage bars and perches. - I have x2 budgies who are both 2 years old, they are very particular and fussy but extremely friendly. - I also have x2 cockatiels who are the family birds, they are ancient at the age of 17 years old, they are absolutely harmless but In their old age have become little grumpys, they are friendly and wouldn’t hurt a fly however can occasionally bite (not aggressive). - I have an outside dog who is a husky, he’s very low maintenance, however he can not come inside. - I will be away Saturday 29th April - Monday 1st May. - Saturday 29th April will just be the evening at around 5pm x2 Budgies will need to be let out for a little fly for about an hour or so, their water will need to be changed and veggie bowl will need to be washed ready for next day, lights will need to be turned on and close blinds, cover the birds. X2 cockatiels will just need their water change, veggie bowel cleaned and seed top Up, they won’t need to come out this day and covered up. Husky will need to be fed and that’s all, no playing or walking required. (Probably need a total of 1 hour 30 mins). - Sunday 30th all 4 birds will need to be uncovered at around 8am, fresh veggie, budgies will be let out for around an hour or so, cockatiels don’t need to be let out. Nothing needs to be done for the dog in the morning. Repeat previous evening routine at around 5pm. - Monday 1st May same as previous morning routine. We will be back in the afternoon. Preferably needing someone experienced with birds that can understand them. Open to having someone house sit if easier as well, up to you ! - Due date: Needs to be done on Saturday, 29 April 2023

It is in an avery in the back yard, you wont need to go in the avery, there is an access door that is used to swap out the food. The task needs too be done early morning before 7am, or in the evening after 8pm to be ready for the next morning. We go away on the Wednesday morning, so the tasks can be done either Wed, Thurs, Fri nights or Thurs, Fri, Sat mornings. We would also need you to come by some time before hand so we can go through what needs to be done. Its only a 5-10 minute task each day.
