What do brick paving services include?
Block and brick paving is an excellent investment to beautify your property and protect your outdoor area. Hiring a highly rated paving contractor through Airtasker means that you can have peace of mind that your pavers are correctly installed and laid out to last a long time.
Whether you’re planning a big or small project, you can find an experienced contractor here on our platform who can cater to your requirements and budget. Here are some areas in your property where you can have brick paving installed:
Driveways and walkways
The classic look that brick paving can add to a house makes for a preferred decorative method for driveways and walkways. Others also choose to have a brick fence installed or an outdoor brick wall. Besides adding value to the property, it is also a durable choice for high traffic spaces. Bricks can withstand a significant amount of weight and pressure regularly. If you have cars driving in and out and a constant flow of people walking on the pavement, then having pavers installed may be right for you.
To get a visually appealing finish, make sure that you hire a skilled bricklayer through Airtasker. Uneven driveway paving can look unsightly and pose risks for accidents. It can also cause significant damage in the long run.
Patios
Brick paving is also possible for bigger projects like building a patio. If you would like to protect any outdoor surface, paving keeps the ground covered from harsh elements like the sun, wind, dirt, water and snow. It may take longer and cost more, but the cost will be worth it in the long run. You can avoid construction nightmares in the future when these areas are left unprotected.
Experienced contractors on our platform can also lay the pavers out to complement your existing landscaping and architectural design. You can even ask your Tasker to build an outdoor brick fireplace or barbecue if your neighbourhood allows it. Clay bricks are also easy to maintain, requiring less attention regularly. Besides clay paving, schedule routine brick cleaning now and then, and you’re all good.
Swimming pools
While it’s no longer a common sight, bricks around your swimming pool can look classy and sophisticated. It will stand out from other yards with tiled or concrete pools. Proper sanding and installation can assure you that the bricks won’t loosen quickly despite water and sun exposure. It is best to involve your Tasker from the planning up to the installation so that you have someone to rely on. If you’re remodelling an older property or refreshing an already existing brick design, you can also have your Tasker remove the worn and broken bricks.

Re-pave brick pavers
$2,500
McMahons Point, New South Wales, Australia
9th Nov 2022
We have 23 square metres of paving. They need to be pulled up (we can do that). Then the ground needs to be levelled so water drains away. We need more base and it would need to be compacted with a wacker packer. And then the pavers would need to be relaid. One part of the pacing needs edging.
Landscaping/paving: Finishing a brick paved patio job

I need a skilled landscaper to finish my patio. It is about 45sqm big. I have done all the excavation work + I have also already laid 3 layers of roadbase and whacked it. I have the remaining roadbase available (1.5t) / 2.5t of riversand / 2000 pavers. What is left to do: - lay out flat the last layer of roadbase - Sand bedding - Lay the pavers in a herringbone pattern - build a small retaining wall (if enough pavers available). Due date: Flexible

Lay 11 sqm of brick paving: date flexible
$600
Daceyville NSW, Australia
9th May 2021
I'm flexible about when this job gets done. Any time in the next fortnight is fine. I have a big stack of brick pavers that was previously laid on sand. I pulled them up before an extension was built. I now want them re-laid on sand in a strip 1.5m x 7.2m (26 square metres in total). I will supply all the materials, so I'm after a quote for creating the correct level, spreading and compacting the base, then laying the brick pavers. I need a slight slope away from the building so water drains away (not towards) the building. The excess soil you remove to achieve the correct level can be dumped further down the garden (the site is gently sloping and I'm trying to make it more level). Along the edge of the building I want the paving to be at the same level as the silver drain grate you can see in the pic. The finished level of the edge of the strip furthest from the building will need to be about 10cm lower than current ground level. I will finish the garden edge furthest from the building to stop soil subsiding onto the path (I'll probably use a single treated pine sleeper), so don't worry about that part. The soil is extremely sandy. I am happy to order whatever base material/s you like to use - road base, crusher dust, or just sharp sand, or two of these materials. No matter what base material you choose to use, I would like the base to be compacted before the pavers are laid. Please indicate what approach to bedding you like to use. I'm not sure what a fair price is, so I've guessed. You'll tell me, I'm sure!
