There is about 20m of trench to be dug for placing sleepers to edge a garden bed. Some of the trench has been started, where and an existing sleeper needs to be dug deeper. There is a tree branch over the alignment that needs to stay. The general alignment is pegged out. Please state if a machine is to be used, as a raised grass area at the end of the driveway could be levelled at that time. Please see pictures.

We started digging a 600mm trench and hit a couple of major tree roots. They run length ways down the trench for a good part of the trench. I don’t think they can be taken out by hand tools. Looking for someone with equipment who can get cut through these so we have a 250mm wide x 600mm deep trench. (I have attached a couple of photos of the roots on the other side of the fence where the roots are coming from, so you can see their size etc.)

Scope of Works: The cut-off trench to be 150mm wide x 600 deep x 2000m long mass concrete constructed adjacent to the top of the stairs in the garden courtyard of the unit to prevent water entry under/to the stairs. • Excavate the soil and have the soil spread throughout the garden beds. • Box the top 90mm of the proposed concrete. • Concrete the excavated area. I have attached photos below of where the proposed concrete slabs should be constructed which is directly behind the boundary gates in private lots - where you can see dirt. The concrete walls should prevent help drive water from the building and save the the common property tiles. The stairs are concrete slab on ground stairs and the stairs have been recently re-tiled.
