The side/frame of my cutlery drawer has come apart and needs to be fixed. I think it was DIY by my landlord. I’m not an expert, but it looks like the two pieces simply need to be properly glued back together and secured so the drawer is stable again. Please see the photos for the damage. Looking for someone with experience in small furniture/cabinet repairs who can bring the appropriate glue/adhesive and any tools needed. Should hopefully be a fairly quick and straightforward job for someone who knows what they’re doing 😊

Hello, We are looking for an experienced cabinet maker, furniture restorer, or skilled handyman to repair a damaged timber veneer display shelf at our retail store, in Westfield Eastgardens. The Issue: The light timber veneer coating on top of one of our main customer display shelves has split, cracked, and lifted along the grain. This has created a sharp, jagged edge that poses a splinter. The Job: The task is to perform a professional, smooth, and durable repair on this timber surface. The scope of work includes: 1. Preparing the split area by removing any failed glue. 2. Re-adhering the lifted veneer flat against the substrate using a strong commercial adhesive/epoxy. 3. Filling any remaining cracks, splits, or voids with a matching light-coloured wood filler or tinted epoxy (to match the light white-washed oak wood grain finish). 4. Sanding the repair perfectly smooth and flush so there are absolutely no raised edges, splinters, or sharp spots. 5. Applying a clear seal or touch-up finish to blend the repaired patch with the surrounding shelf. Requirements: - MUST have experience with wood veneer repairs, cabinetry, or furniture restoration. - You must supply all your own tools and materials (filler, epoxy/glue, sandpaper, sealer). - Ability to deliver a smooth, safe, and cosmetically neat result in a customer-facing area. - Public liability insurance is required. Location & Timing: Location: Westfield Eastgardens, 152 Bunnerong Rd, Eastgardens NSW 2036 When: As this is in a customer-contact area, we would like this repaired as soon as possible. Replace two existing kitchen cabinets, one of which currently has the rangehood installed, with two new cabinets and a new rangehood. The new cabinets are: - Flatpax Utility 600mm Rangehood Cabinet – purchased from Bunnings. - IKEA KNOXHULT Wall Cabinet with Door, White, 40 x 75 cm – purchased from IKEA. I have also purchased a Mistral 60cm Re-Circulating Slide Out Rangehood from Bunnings, which needs to be installed in the new rangehood cabinet. The job would therefore involve removing the two existing cabinets, including the current rangehood, and installing the two new cabinets and the new rangehood. I’ve attached photos of the existing cabinets that need to be removed, as well as photos of the new cabinets and rangehood to be installed, to give you a better idea of the work involved.
