Hi! I’m looking for an experienced cabinetmaker or carpenter to build and install a custom floating desk in my home office in Elizabeth Bay. The desk will be approximately 2500 mm wide and 550–600 mm deep, running wall-to-wall beneath a window. One of the side walls is plasterboard, so I’d like someone to come and have a look at the space to confirm the best way to build it before providing a quote. The desk will be a simple floating design with no drawers or shelving, just a thin desktop (around 30 mm thick) with a couple of cable holes at the back for cord management. I haven’t decided on the timber yet, so I’d appreciate advice on suitable timber or veneer options. Please let me know if this is something you can help with, along with an estimate for the complete build and installation.

I am looking for a skilled carpenter or joiner rebuild the frames for exterior glass door. The bottom rails on the current doors have rotted out, but the large glass panes and the existing hardware (handles, locks, hinges) are in perfect condition and need to be reused. I would like the new frames built out of pre-primed treated pine (dressed all round). The Job: Remove the existing glass and hardware from the old rotten door. Build new door frame. Re-install the original glass into the new frames. Re-hang the doors and fit the existing locks Note: I will handle the final gap-filling and top-coat painting myself once the doors are hung. Measurements approx: Total door thickness: 35mm (Critical so existing locksets fit) Vertical frame (stile) width: 97mm Glass width: ~55.5cm Total door width: ~75.7cm Total door height: Standard height (approx. 2040mm) Materials: Please include the cost of supplying all necessary materials in your quote (Treated pine DAR timber, timber beading, exterior glue, screws/dowels). If you prefer, quote for labor only and state in your offer that materials will be reimbursed upon presentation of the Bunnings/timber yard receipt.

We just bought a van and there’s some things that need to be finished. It’s missing some wood board on the ceiling and we would like to make some custom shelves on the sides of the bed to get some more storage, just someone to help us optimize the space. And also to help us attach a cargo barrier behind the front seats. We’re open to any advices and any other changes in the van and would obviously pay more! The goal is to make the van functional and ready to go ASAP!

We have a laminate bench-top which we need replaced with a wood bench-top (aprox 3.2 m). It’s pretty simple with just one whole for a sink and is a long straight line (except for one little nib as shown) . Remove laminate benchtop, supply and install required.
