Hello, We are looking for a skilled handyman, joiner, or cabinet maker to repair a faulty drawer at our retail store, in Newtown. The Issue: A high-use tool drawer in our front counter is failing. It has become very difficult to open and close, with significant resistance, and it appears to be falling off its runners (tracks). This is a growing problem that is impacting our staff's workflow. The Job: The task is to replace the faulty drawer runners to make the drawer fully functional and smooth again. The scope of work will involve: 1. Assessing and removing the old, worn pair of drawer runners from both the drawer and the cabinet carcass. 2. Supplying and installing a new, high-quality pair of drawer runners that are the correct size and weight capacity for this high-volume drawer. 3. Correctly installing the drawer back into the cabinet. 4. Testing the drawer to ensure it opens and closes smoothly and fully without resistance. Please note: The successful contractor MUST supply the new replacement drawer runners. The cost for these materials must be included in your final offer. Requirements: - MUST have proven experience with cabinetry repairs and installing drawer runners. - You must supply all your own tools AND the new replacement runners (as mentioned above). - Ability to work cleanly and professionally within a live retail environment. - Public liability insurance is required. Location & Timing: Location: 229 King Street, Newtown, NSW 2042. When: The job can be completed at your earliest convenience. Please state your availability in your offer. I have this vintage timber bench that needs some repair. The legs are wobbly - need stabilizing. Also, while the front of the bench is finished nicely with molding, the back side of it is exposed and rough. Can anything be done to tidy it up? I already have an upholsterer recovering it later - but I just need the frame fixed before that.

One of the screws holding the seat cushion on my wooden ergonomic kneeling chair has stripped out of the wood, causing the cushion to wobble. Looking for a handyman or carpenter to properly reinforce and fix it (e.g. dowel/glue or insert, not just a bigger screw). Chair is otherwise in good condition.
