The most popular locations include bin areas, thanks, and any areas with exposed plumbing. People also often use privacy screens for their decks and patios, as well as a backdrop for their gardens.
Currently, timber decking privacy screens are very popular. Merbau or kwila hardwood is especially popular because of its durability and aesthetic qualities.

What does a privacy screen install include?

Privacy screen installation methods will vary depending on where you’d like your screen installed and what kind of screen you want. Whether you’d like a patio, deck, garden, caravan, balcony, or indoor privacy screen, your installer will bring their own tools to get the job done Here are the most common services and what you can expect:

Installing with a post system

Timber post systems are popular outdoor privacy screens for gardens, townhouses, caravans, and apartments with shared spaces. Your contractor will first measure the width of your screen panels and mark the corresponding position for the posts on the ground. Next, they’ll dig the holes deep enough to hold a third of your posts before placing the posts and filling the hole with concrete. Once the concrete has set, the holes are covered with dirt. For aluminium screens, your handyman will then hold brackets up to the screen’s frame, pre-drill holes on either side of the frame, and screw the brackets on. Finally, they’ll attach the screen to the brackets and secure it with screws.

Installing on existing rail

Adding a privacy screen to your existing rail is ideal for decks, patios, balconies, and verandas. Your installer will first measure the width of the screen panels and add any additional posts that are needed to support your screen. Then they’ll hold the brackets up to the frame, pre-drill holes on either side of the frame, and screw the brackets on. They’ll attach the screen to the brackets using screws.

Bamboo screens

Bamboo privacy screens are normally hung off a fence or wall. Your installer will start by installing screw eyes horizontally across the area where the bamboo screen will be installed. They’ll use three screw eyes for each individual bamboo screen. They’ll run wire through the screw eyes and tie the wire off, removing any kinks in the process. Next, they’ll roll out the bamboo screen along the wall and use a crimping tool and netting clips to clamp the clips along the wire fence and secure the bamboo screen.
