The lawn was average, before the council buried the overhead lines and since then it has been sandy and full of weeds. Looking to revive this lawn and tidy up the lot. Keen to add a simple planter box around the tree, with some hardy plants. Any any other suggestions to make it easy to maintain going forward. Im hoping for more gardening, especially weeding and de-heading the roses. Some of the overgrowing ground covers need trimming, the lawn cut back around the sprinklers and the dead vegetation of the bulbs cleared away. I'll pay 35$ an hour, any day of the week works for me :)
