Pre-trimming preparation
Your Tasker first inspects your hedge's current state before trimming. It involves checking for any areas that need more maintenance, ensuring that no animals, including cats, possums, and bird nests, are left in your hedge. The preparation also includes and placing a groundsheet or tarpaulin beneath your hedge for easier catching of branches, stems, and other debris.
Your Tasker prepares the right tools and equipment for easy access such as hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, brooms, rubbish bags, and heavy-duty garden waste bins. Since trimming hedges pose a lot of risks, your Tasker also suits up with protective clothing. Doing so protects them from any cuts, scratches, bruises from flying branches, and getting any dust or debris into their eyes.
Hedge trimming
Your hedge trimming starts with your Tasker cutting away your hedge with a hedge cutter in controlled, sweeping motions. Usually, the top is cut in a more narrow line compared to the base to let maximum sunlight reach your hedge and enable easier maintenance as it grows. Post-trimming cleanup
Once you and your Tasker are satisfied with your trimmed hedge, it's time to clean the area from any remaining dirt and debris. The groundsheet or tarpaulin placed beneath your hedge can easily catch most hedge clippings. Also, any leftover branches or stems that have flown away throughout your property are collected and put in the proper waste bins.Â
Your Tasker also clears away any remaining items from your paths and walkways that can obstruct and cause potential accidents. Lastly, your Tasker checks your hedge's condition after trimming. To speed up growth, your Tasker can also add fertiliser or mulch at your request.

I have 2 hedges along the sides of my property that need to be cut on both sides and the tops. Jims used to come and do it and charged me $400. They no longer service our area. The picture attached is of one side, the other side is the same. Remove all cuttings and leaves under hedges.

Back deck area needs sweeping/hosed down so all branches are off it and it’s tidy & clean. Dump run (please see 2 photos of dump run pile attached) please include dump fees in your quote. (Table & chairs & scooter not included, rubbish piles of 2 photos only). I don’t have any dump run vouchers, so please include the dump run fee in your quote. Side of deck on the left hand side of photo, all weeds that have grown in excess to be taken out. Front area of house - all weeds on the rocks area need to be taken out please (see photos attached of the weeds). Front hedge around letterbox also needs cutting back/tidied please. There are a few weeds along the front that need taking out/whipper snipped down. Must take ALL greenwaste with you, I don’t have a greenwaste bin. *Unfortunately the owner of our rental has decided to sell and has given me 3 days notice to bring people through for an open home inspection. Hi guys! Needing an Airtasker to trim my front hedges. The one around the letterbox just needs a nice trim back & tidy, but the other big ones (please see photos) I’m wanting about half cut right down. Also the one that is right in front of the window needs to be cut right back and the one to the side of the house. There are several smaller trees with thicker branches that need trimming also (all the ones that aren’t hedges) preferably to the same height as the hedges will be). Please bring your own hedge trimmer, it needs to be strong enough to cut through some fairly thick branches. Airtasker needs to take all greenwaste with them please. A few weeds need to be pulled out along the driveway but not many (see photos). Job needs to be done well & no greenwaste or branches/leaves left around the area. I don’t have a greenwaste bin hence why you need to take the waste with you. This job needs to be done today urgently (Wednesday 1st Nov). Please send me your offers. I can’t afford much as a single parent who has just had major surgery so I’m still recovering and haven’t been working, so my offer is what I’m able to afford at the moment. Thank you!
