What do pool fence installers do?

When you hire someone to install your pool fence, you’re asking them to do more than just erect the fence. If you’ve arranged materials, they’ll check that they’re suitable, but often they’re willing to include materials in their job role.

A fence fitter will also make sure that the foundations of the pool fence are secure, that all height measurements are accurate and that all state legislation is followed.

Once you have your new fence installed, whether it’s glass pool fencing or the more traditional metal kind, you may need some other services to help with your pool.

    Pool cleaning

Having a pool is a huge luxury and an enviable addition to any Australian home, but unfortunately it comes with a lot of upkeep. Hiring a pool cleaner can take that workload off your shoulders, with someone else responsible for scooping leaves off the surface, cleaning the filter and making sure the chlorine or salt levels are suitable.

    Pool pump repair

Like any other investment, things can go wrong with your swimming pool. If you notice that your filter system isn’t working properly, you can easily hire someone to repair your pump. They’ll review your system, bring the appropriate part, clean any pipes that need attention and remove any broken items.

    Pool repair

As well as your pump, there might be times when other things go wrong with your pool. Pool repair experts can help with many different problems, from fixing pool lights to repairing cracks. Whatever your issue, Airtasker can help get you back to doing laps in no time.

    Pool gate repair

Because of the legal and safety issues of having a fully functioning pool gate, which means it must lock and swing closed by itself, organising pool gate repair is a priority that you should see to immediately. Whether it’s the lock or the hinges or the posts that need fixing, you’ll find someone on Airtasker to help.

    $148

    Kenmore Hills, Queensland, Australia

I’ve got 2 glass pool fence panels that have dislodged slightly and need securing back in position. This task requires the addition of retro fixing a top and/or base cross rail (I can supply the standard Bunnings rail) and you cut ends to match post profile tap screw to existing posts. Same has been done in the past on this fence to fix the same problem from recurring. See pic example. Suits handyman with tools.

Ben took the time and made sure I was completely satisfied before saying the job was finished. Turned up on time, clear communications and quality work. I can certainly recommend Ben.

    Make existing pool fence compliant

    $500

    Kenmore Hills QLD 4069, Australia

    6th Dec 2015

The following work needs to be completed before a pool safety inspection on Friday week (18/12 at 10am). Essentially the task is to raise the existing fence by about 250mm, fill in the resulting gap underneath with wire netting or carbonate or possibly rocks or stones. 1. Pick up 5 2.1 metre aluminium primrose-coloured posts from Masters. 2. Remove existing 5 metres of aluminium/steel fencing and 5 posts which are concreted in and set in brick paving. You will need a concrete drill. 3. Install longer aluminium posts (set them in concrete). 4. Re-attach existing fencing. 5. Install wire netting or poly-carbonate or add to existing stone wall under fence. We have a supplier for the carbonate if we decide on this option.
