Hi, We live in a townhouse and want to install a gate across the existing opening. Existing central posts are sturdy but showing minor signs of rot at base, but I believe posts have a bit of life left in them yet. Each end of existing fence appears to be mounted to brick walls. We need to keep fence to existing style due to body corp rules, but would like a matching gate to close off opening, as well have a small dog. Space between brick walls in photos is approx 3-metres. Longer fence side near door shown in photos is 1280mm in length from garage to edge of post, 1100mm clear open space and then short length of fence at 650mm. Height to top of pickets is 1150mm, with post knobs extending above that. After a cost to install a suitable timber swing gate complete with gate latch ASAP.

Build a picket front fence as per the attached plans (slight amendment - we will break the long section into 4 sections, rather than the 3 sections shown on the plans). Total fence length is 13.5m, with picket height set at 1250mm, and the plinth angled to adjust to the fall in ground level in each section. 1 steel frame pedestrian gate and 1 letter box to be included, along with 9 posts including the posts at either end of the fence, and the gate posts. Pickets and posts are to have arched tops, as per the attached examples (paddle pop style). Rails and plinth to be morticed in the middle of the posts as per the attached photo. Posts to be minimum 100mm x 100mm, pickets to be ~80mm wide. Photos of the area where the fence will be installed are shown at the red brick house. Pedestrian gate posts will be installed in the middle of the existing path. Posts to be installed by digging a hole (I will cut through the pavers if needed). The existing yellow paving will be paved over on completion of the fence. We are looking to start ASAP, but equally happy to start later if the right Airtasker is available..
