I have 3 tasks for an electrician - none of them are particularly difficult: 1) I have a ceiling fan in the bedroom which is noisy and I want to swap it for a new ceiling fan 2) I have 2 downlights in the lounge room that I want to change. One will be in the same position, but the other one moves by about half a meter and I think that the wiring is not long enough (the ceiling cavity is fairly easily accessible through the man hole). And I want to swap the current switch to a dimmer 3) I have 3 smoke alarms that are currently battery+hard-wired and 2 that are just battery - so a mix of things. I didn't realise that 3 of the alarms are hard-wired, so I bought a pack of 5 interconnected wireless battery alarms + a base station to replace the current alarms, and only found out that 3 are hard-wired went I went to install the new alarms. So all I want to do is disconnect the existing 3 hard-wired alarms, and then I will replace all 5 alarms with the battery alarms (so there is no need for you to install the new alarms) - I just want to make sure that the current alarms are disconnected properly (so should be a simple task) I already have the fan, lights and dimmer switch and the wireless smoke alarms. - Due date: I work from home and dates and times are totally flexible
