We’re looking for an experienced home cook/meal-prep person to come to our home in the Rouse Hill area, preferably on Sundays, to prepare meals for our family for the week. We’re particularly looking for someone comfortable cooking Indian home-style food, including: * Dal and vegetable dishes * Chicken, lamb and fish curries * Rice dishes, khichdi and other everyday meals * Simple, healthy home-style food rather than restaurant-style cooking Knowledge of Maharashtrian and/or Mangalorean cuisine is highly preferred. We’d also love someone who can prepare some Western meals such as pasta, baked dishes, soups, grilled/roasted chicken and other easy family meals so we can have some variety. We have a toddler, so some meals should be toddler-friendly — nutritious, mild in spice and low in salt where appropriate. Ideally, the toddler portion can be adapted from the family meal rather than requiring a completely separate dish. We can provide all the ingredients and agree on the menu beforehand. We’d like several dishes prepared during each visit, portioned/stored appropriately, with the kitchen left tidy afterwards. This will initially be a trial arrangement. If we enjoy the food and it’s a good fit, we’d be very happy to extend this into a regular weekly arrangement.
