1st gen Chromecast died. Bought new 3rd gen Chromecast. Instructions say can only be set up with phone and Google Home app. Googling shows it should be possible with Chrome (which I have) WiFi (which I have) and patience (which I don't).

Need my Dell Precision M6600 with Windows 7 Professional 64bit, tweaked to make it boot and shut down as fast as possible. I just don't know enough about which services can be disabled etc. I will not be upgrading to WIN10 as I have software that will not run on that platform. I will bring laptop to you but will not leave it, you must be willing to do the job with me watching. It is getting old now but is still a fast and powerful machine once the OS and installed software is sorted out. Please note that the date for getting it done is a guide only, this is negotiable. I will not pay for travel time as I will bring laptop to you.
