We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented cleaner/housekeeper to help with our 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house in Annandale on a regular basis, ideally weekly or fortnightly. We’re looking for someone for around 4 hours per visit and would prefer to agree on an hourly rate rather than having a fixed checklist of tasks and lots of individual extras. We’d like someone who can take a bit of ownership of keeping the house clean and tidy. This would include the usual cleaning such as bathrooms, kitchen, vacuuming, mopping, dusting and wiping surfaces, but also some general housekeeping and tidying as needed. For example, this might include: Tidying and organising surfaces before cleaning them Moving smaller items and cleaning properly underneath and behind them, rather than simply cleaning around them Wiping things like windowsills, skirting boards, blinds and other areas that need attention Changing bed linen when needed General tidying and putting things back where they belong Occasionally spending more time on an area that needs a deeper clean Noticing things that need cleaning rather than needing every individual task to be specified We don’t expect every possible job to be done on every visit. We’d rather have someone who works through what needs doing during the agreed time and rotates less frequent jobs as appropriate. Attention to detail is particularly important to us. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in leaving a room genuinely clean, including moving things where practical and cleaning underneath them. We’re hoping to find one person who can come regularly and get to know the house and how we like things done, rather than having different cleaners each time.
