I’m looking for a carpenter or cabinet maker to build and install custom sliding pine doors for an angled loft / roof storage space. The opening is approximately 800mm high x 2300mm wide. The finished result should look similar to the reference photos attached, with clean timber / pine sliding panels across the front of the storage area. The job includes: • Measure and confirm the opening on site • Build a simple framed opening for the storage space • Build and fit sliding pine / plywood doors • Install a floor rail / sliding track system • Add a suitable top guide or support if needed • Build side return walls / end panels where required • Make sure the doors slide smoothly and are easy to remove or access • Finish neatly so it suits the existing pine-lined ceiling and loft area The space is under an angled ceiling, so the job will need someone comfortable with custom carpentry rather than standard flat-pack cabinetry. I’m after a practical, neat storage solution, not a high-end wardrobe finish. Happy for the doors to be made from pine ply or similar material, provided the final look is clean and simple. Hello, I'm looking for someone with experience in cabinetry, built-in wardrobes or joinery to finish an IKEA PAX wardrobe install to make it appear built in and a tidy finish. Scope of works 1. Install infill/filler panels • Fill the gaps between the wardrobe and the side walls with 16mm MR MDF. • Scribe the panels to the walls where required so everything sits flush. • Ideally use moisture-resistant MDF or similar ready for painting. 2. Install a kicker/plinth board • Cover the existing timber base with a neat kicker/plinth with either 16 or 18mm with 16mm MR MDF. • Continue the plinth across the full width so it appears built in. • Minimise visible joins. 3. Finishing • Light sand and prime final cut and fitted pieces • Colour match GRIMO door at Dulux trade centre • Ideally, paint with low sheen Dulux Aquanamel and using high-density foam roller to achieve sprayed-looking texture • Finish neatly against the existing skirting boards and also IKEA base (may require some filling of gaps above plinth / kicker) • Caulk as required. Need 2 extra drawers added to my dressing table similar to the ones in the bathroom (see photo) and another cupboards doors changed. (Shortened to cupboard height so I can keep them closed when not in use but still have the counter space below the second shelf) At the moment my microwave on the counter comes out to far so the doors can’t be used.
