The Issue: A cupboard door in a high-traffic staff area will not stay closed. The hinge is broken, with part of the metal snapped, causing the door to constantly swing open. This creates a significant collision and safety hazard for our staff. The Job: The task is to repair the door so that it closes and functions correctly. The scope of work will involve: 1. Assessing and removing the damaged hinge from both the door and the cabinet carcass. 2. Supplying and installing a new, suitable replacement hinge. 3. Securely re-hanging the door. 4. Adjusting the new hinge to ensure the door is properly aligned, hangs straight, and opens and closes smoothly.
