I’m looking for an experienced auto electrician or car audio technician to diagnose an intermittent audio issue with my 2016 Lexus IS. When the fault happens, there is no audio output at all - radio, bluetooth, navigation, calls. When it starts working again, everything works normally. The issue first appeared after the car was cleaned. I’ve also noticed that after driving for a while, particularly on a sunny day, the audio will sometimes come back after restarting the car. Lexus Melbourne has looked at it and advised that the amplifier needs replacing. Before doing that, I’d like a second opinion and proper diagnosis, as the intermittent nature makes me wonder whether it could be a connection, moisture/water ingress, power/ground issue, or a repairable fault with the amp itself.
