Looking for an experienced mechanic (ideally familiar with Audi/VW V6 platforms) to fix a front coolant leak on my 2002 Audi A4 B6 (2.4L V6 petrol). The Issue & Symptoms: • There is an active leak dripping directly onto/above the alternator housing at the front of the engine (see attached photos with area highlighted). • When topping up the coolant reservoir, an active drip appears from the thermostat housing area (see attached dripping vs. non-dripping photos). • Pink coolant residue and dripping are visible behind the serpentine belt drive. • Expected fix: Replacing the faulty O-ring / thermostat housing seals. Requirements for the Mechanic: • Put the front carrier into service position as needed, replace the faulty O-ring/thermostat housing seal, refill, and properly bleed the cooling system. • Must come fully equipped with their own standard hand tools • Must be completed onsite at home/driveway in Gosford (car will not be cranked until repaired). What I Provide Onsite: • Fresh pink G12/G13 coolant & distilled water. • I have 2x Service position guide bolts for the front lock carrier. • Serpentine belt removal tool kit. • Any parts if necessary Keen to find a go-to mechanic for ongoing work on this vehicle. 2007 Audi A4 B7 sedan – rear right light/socket assembly I need help with the rear right lights on my 2007 Audi A4 B7 sedan. The rear right brake light, indicator and reverse light have all stopped working. The bulb has already been replaced by a mechanic, but the lights still didn’t work. The mechanic was able to get them working temporarily by jiggling/moving the light/socket assembly and advised that the socket assembly may need replacing. They have since stopped working again. I would like someone experienced with Audi/VW electrical work to: • Inspect the existing socket/bulb holder and connector • Confirm what part is actually required and check that the issue isn’t wiring/connector related • Identify the correct part number • Source/order the replacement part • Return to install it once it arrives • Check that the brake, indicator and reverse lights are all working correctly Payment for the part: The replacement part will be paid for separately from the Airtasker labour fee. Hi, I have a 2013 Audi A4 B8.5. I want to remove the current chrome front Audi rings and install a black Audi emblem. The emblem is clipped into the front grille and access from behind is limited. Audi Q5 had some electrical issue last week. We thought the battery needed replacing which it did, new battery in the car. Worked for about 3 days.
