We have a queenslander style Y Shaped set of stairs that are rotting due to age, poor wood, and poor construction. I would like to find out the approximate price to replace/rebuild the staircase with an L shaped staircase (Remove one of the arms on the Y) in 100% hardwood; we want these stairs to last. Complete replacement of two flights of stairs, and one landing and railings and all supporting posts is required. Removal of every piece of wood from the old stairs is part of the job. The stair has 10 steps in the main part, then will need another flight of seven stairs (the L part). There is good access to the back stairs for wood / carting stuff. Photos attached. We need something that will last - as previous repairs to the stairs have rotted within a few years. The house is located in Cannon Hill, QLD.
