I need a concrete base to install a letter box on it. The concrete path in front of my house has a 8 degrees slop and the base should be in level for letter box to be properly installed. The base is 28cm x 36cm x (up to) 10 cm. I have a bag of the concrete mix.

We have a brick Chimney that need to be sealed as it leaks in heavy rain. No obvious damage to the bricks but the mortar on top is cracked. However we think it's more than that as it has leaked since installation of a wood oven when mortar was new.
