I need help fixing a door lock as soon as possible. It started with the door being hard to open sometimes, and now the latch (tongue) has come off completely. It might be due to the spindle not fitting properly. I've had the same issue with another door using the same lock, and replacing the spindle with a longer one solved it. This could be the same issue, but I’m not completely sure. I can provide the exact spindle details I used for the other door if needed.
