Recently, signs of water damage have reappeared on the adjoining wall, including bubbling and peeling paint, suggesting that water may still be penetrating behind the shower tiles. The previous contractor has advised that residual moisture can take 18–24 months to dry out, but I am concerned because the symptoms disappeared for several months before returning. What I need: Inspect the shower and adjoining wall to determine whether there is ongoing water ingress or simply residual moisture. For peace of mind, I would like to just replace the internal shower pipework, rewaterproof and retile. Additional Information: The shower is tiled. Photos of the affected areas provided.
