My 9yo daughter is going into grade 4. She is an avid reader of a wide range of fiction and non-fiction texts and her comprehension skills are excellent. (scored in the top 5% for ICAS English last year) However, her writing skills are not nearly as good. When she writes her work is unsophisticated and she seems not to think that English language conventions (Capital letters, correct spelling etc) are important. Her spelling is generally not good, but she mis-spells words that she theoretically knows when she is writing. I am looking for a tutor to spend 1 hour per week with her on an ongoing basis to work on her confidence and capability when writing. I don't expect a quick fix, but it would be good to end the year with real progress made. Some of the work the tutor does with her might be homework support, but more generally looking for you to take the lead on building her skills! Note that the preference would be for tutoring either on a Sunday morning, or after school (4.15pm at home in Glebe, or 3.30pm in Darlinghurst if the successful applicant happens to live near school) - Due date: Flexible

My partner and I might be moving to France in a few months and wanted to get French lessons ASAP. We are willing to pay 35-40 per hour for four hours a week (2 2hr days) or follow a study schedule as you see fit. We are both starting from scratch, and willing to go on an intensive study course.
