I’m looking for an experienced/qualified mechanic to carry out a pre-purchase inspection on a 2007 Subaru Outback with approximately 262,000 km before I buy it. I have already inspected and test driven the car myself and it seemed to drive well, but I’d like a professional inspection before making a final decision. I’d particularly like the following checked: * Engine condition, including head gasket * Oil and coolant leaks * Cooling system * Automatic transmission * AWD/driveline * Suspension and brakes * Underbody * OBD diagnostic scan * Test drive The timing belt and water pump were replaced at 209,000 km and the car has service history. The car is located in Thornlie. Ideally looking to arrange the inspection sometime this week or next week. Please let me know your automotive/mechanic experience and what your inspection includes.

Hi, I’m looking for someone experienced in automotive rust repair. My 2005 Subaru Forester has rust on the front right roof gutter next to the windscreen. Some areas have rusted through and I want to stop it from getting worse and prevent water leaks. I’m looking for someone who can: * Remove all rust. * Cut out and weld any perforated metal if needed. * Apply rust protection and seam sealer. * Prime and paint the repaired area. I don’t need a perfect cosmetic finish. My priority is a solid, long-lasting repair that prevents the rust from spreading. My budget is around 350–450 AUD, but I’m happy to discuss if inspection shows more work is required. Please let me know how you would repair it and if you’ve done similar repairs before.

Chasing a Mobile Mechanic for 2003 Subaru Forrester for this weekend. Im organising it for a friend. Car was serviced 18mths ago and these were the notes: WORK DONE: SERVICE AND CHECK OVER AT 297375KMS REPLACED OIL AND OIL FILTER STAMPED LOG BOOK REPLACED BOTH HEADLIGHT GLOBES TEST DRIVEN FUTURE WORK: FRONT TYRES DUE TO BE REPLACED LH REAR TYRE DUE OT BE REPLACED RH WHEEL BEARING DUE TO BE REPLACED- COULD POSSIBLY NEED CV SHAFT TO BE REPLACED DUE TO DAMAGE WIPER BLADES NOISY AND MISSING CLIPS- RECOMMEND REPLACING COMPLETE BLADES MISFIRE AT IDLE TIMING BLET HISTORY UNKOWN- DUE EVERY 100,000KMS- RECOMMEND REPLACING IF HISTORY STILL UNKNOWN FAN BELTS DUE TO BE REPLACED- RECOMMEND REPLACING WITH TIMING BELT FUEL FILTER HISTORY UNKNOWN- RECOMMEND REPLACING IF UNKNOWN ALL ROTORS HAVE RUST (SUSPECT CAUSING SOUND) - PADS IN GOOD CONDITION ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON- SCANNED AND CLEARED CODES OXYGEN SENSOR CODE APPEARED- LOOKS IKE SENSOR HAS BEEN REPLACED PREVIOUSLY I know some of that is major. So maybe if we cpuld just do a general service and check over and confirm the above points. But if timing belt and fan belts can be done affordibly this weekend then i am happy to have it done I will find out what her wheel and tyre size is and look into getting that done

I am looking for someone to help me out with installing a dash cam front and back. The car won't be ready for a couple of weeks due to a break in and smashed window that's getting fixed. So looking for someone to do it for me in about the middle of September? Thanks in advance
