I’m reaching out to request an urgent inspection of the pergola. There are ongoing issues with the roof structure, including visible leaks and concerns about the quality of the installation. During strong winds, the structure appears unstable, it feels as though it could lift off, which raises serious safety concerns. I’d like someone to assess the framing and roofing sheets to determine whether they need to be corrected, reinforced, or fully replaced. Please let me know your earliest availability to inspect and provide a recommendation and quote for the necessary works.

1) replace rotted support pergola rail attached to house (I Have removed 2 sheet support boards to loosen vertical support boards nailed to the support rail) 2) install new support rail, secure other pergola boards, and rescrew sheet support boards 3) remove the trim and faulty white weathboard planks associated with the house side gables. 4) install new concrete weatherboard sheeting to cover the exposed siding. Sheeting is flat 3.0 x 1.2 m Bunnings sheets that appear as vertical planking. 5) Existing house gable is ~ 9.0 width and 1.6 m tall. Estimate 2x3 m sheets (with 2m sheet) can fill the gable. Sheeting to be installed vertically, and cut to fit under the sloping gable. 6) then reattach gable trim to the installed weatherboard sheeting. Pergola rot caused by water ingress thru flashing gaps associated with this older white, slanted weatherboard planking. Intent is to have only new flat gable sheeting, that new pergola flashing can handle. No slanted boards, or gap edges. Potentially better to remove rotted pergola support, then the entire older white pergola planking, install the new weatherboard sheets, then install the pergola support rail- since that is also directly attached to the house containing the new sheeting. Sheeting and timber materials to be provided. You will need to supply fixings, and be able to cut weatherboard cladding to the sloping gable in strips.

Requiring someone or possibly more than a one person effort to move four heavy boxes from the garage to the rear and build an aluminium pergola with retractable manual louvre roof. An awning might do the trick but it needs to be 2.4m wide and 4m long, to shade my car and be within Stirling council requirements. Attached to the side of our two story house, behind the gate in the picture. I guess some kind of cantilever design? The space is bituminized and ready to go, with lots of room to do the job. I'm not sure if a 2.4 awning span is possible?

I want to install shade/privacy cloth on two sides 1.7m one side 2.1m other side of a pergola attached to metal colour bond fence. I have not purchased material yet. Happy to discuss best way forward. If you have recommendation on material or I will just buy myself.
