My parents have had issues with their home wifi of which the current provider is Telstra through the Nbn and it is currently not operating at all. They have a Netgear Orbi system installed throughout the house as it is a large house and have multiple tv’s using Greek TV boxes, Sonos Audio which are connected to the internet and as such are also not working. I require someone to do some troubleshooting as to the reason why the connection to the internet through the Nbn is not working (they are using a 4g temp connection atm) as Telstra and Nbn are both not the best at providing solutions which is extremely frustrating so an experienced IT Technician would be most suitable for this job as Telstra techs came out and they are blaming the Nbn and Nbn is blaming Telstra. Identify fault, get system back up and running again ensuring, or I, tv boxes and Sonos are all working correctly.

I have an HFC connection that seems flaky. Also position in house (extreme right side) means Google Nest Mesh is not optimally connected.

The HFC NBN termination is in the bedroom, would like to move this port into a central spot of the house through the roof or under the house. Its basically antena cable, but it needs to be feed through the walls. In the bedroom, that spot would need to be covered by a fake plate and the current HFC plate would be moved in that central location. At the same time, i need a POE doorbell installed at the entry and a network cable pulled from that doorbell into the same location the HFC port wil be installed (centrally where the router and a POE switch will be hosted)

Current: -NBN HFC -Only one NBN port in living room, so router must be in living room as well as the NBN box -Single story house, with assessable subfloor area. Need: - While keep current NBN port and modem in same position to cover front part of house - Add a new internet port in a wall at another side of the house , enable connection to another router, to cover back side of the house. Or other methods to have the house WiFi- covered, to be advised/quoted.

I have recently moved into a new home with NBN and connected my modem to the NBN box where the connection works well. The issue is that the wireless modem doesn’t have a strong enough signal to go through the whole house and therefore at the moment it’s connected with a 15 meter ethernet cable and going to the floor above to ensure we have connection throughout the house. Under the NBN box in the garage, there are three or four ports which I am wondering if they are able to be used for the Internet so that we can plug one cable from the NBN box into these ports and then in a different level of the house, plug the modem into that and Have Wi-Fi throughout the house that way, if this is possible then it would insure that we do not have a 15 metre cable running throughout the house - Due date: Before Wednesday, 13 December 2023
