Need a smoke alarm fitted. Edit based on questions: there is currently a Brooks EIB 141l ionisation smoke alarm installed which needs replacing. I have not yet bought a new one but it appears EIB 146E would be the best replacement. Pics attached on the unit and where it is currently installed.

My ceiling-mounted smoke alarm, is doing a periodic chirp, indicating it needs a battery change. I don't have a ladder, I suspect it takes one of the rectangular batteries.
James was very considerate, careful about ensuring the tricky smoke detector wasn't damaged in opening it. Was punctual and lovely. Thank you - you saved me, as the chirping was driving me nuts.

We have 2x Brooks Smoke alarms requiring mains-powered installation. They are replacing battery-only smoke alarms so wiring will be required. Alarms to be placed on each level, roof access to the top floor.
